About Us

Casey is dedicated to adding structure to wealth building and financial planning. She uses her extensive personal and professional experience to help clients specify clear goals, develop a detailed plan, then implement and monitor that plan on an ongoing basis. Ultimately, Casey believes it is her duty to coach her clients into a lifelong growth mindset and act as their personal CFO by educating, guiding, and supporting them in making optimal financial decisions. ?Casey’s background has taught her to strongly believe in the values of integrity, discipline, and excellence. It’s also taught her that sincerely caring about others is foundational to serving them well. She has brought those convictions to her role as a financial advisor, a CEO and a presenter.

Casey was raised in El Segundo, California. She attended the United States Air Force Academy where she competed as a NCAA Division I athlete who threw javelin in Track and Field. She commissioned as a 2nd Lt from USAFA with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Management in 2007. While on Active Duty at Los Angeles Air Force Base, Casey was selected as the lead financial budget analyst and managed more than $80M. She proved to be a prudent and effective steward of government funds. As the Chief of the GPS Information Assurance Evaluation Team, she led more than sixty who were responsible for the security certification of the $1 billion+ GPS military code receiver programs. She also served as an Assistant Professor of Aerospace Studies at the University of Southern California Sol Price School of Public Policy.

Casey has experience managing hundreds of millions of dollars in client and government assets. She graduated with an MBA focusing on finance and investing from the University of Southern California Marshall School of Business. She received a Certificate of Personal Financial Planning from the University of California Irvine and became a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ certificant. Casey earned the distinction of Premier Advisor six years straight, every year she was eligible while at Wells Fargo Advisors. In 2021, she founded Optimize Financial, an RIA, which she oversees as President and CEO.

Casey is married to John Witters and has two children from a previous marriage, Kelly and Joe. She loves spending quality time with her family and friends. Casey and John are also founders and lead pastors of New Creation Fellowship Church. They love helping their members grow in maturity and confidence in their faith in Jesus. Casey and John also thoroughly enjoy trying new restaurants, traveling and snowboarding. Casey is a passionate teacher and has spoken at churches, universities, high schools, and financial advisor forums on a number of topics. She has also given a TED talk on Embracing Discipline to an audience of 250+ teachers and educators.

Lisa takes great pride in the client experience. Due to her extensive knowledge of financial planning and passion to see tasks through to completion, Lisa serves as Executive Vice President of Client Relations. She oversees all functions of OFI’s white glove serve by preparing, managing, and tracking client actions through to completion. She also manages the fast paced, high caliber training program at Optimize Financial.

Lisa earned a B.S. in Computer Science & Engineering with a minor in Linguistics and a Concentration in Spanish from the University of California, San Diego. Lisa has an M.S. in Interior Design from Pratt University in addition to completing a Certificate of Personal Financial Planning at the University of California, Irvine and becoming a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ certificant.

Lisa also brings insight and expertise gained from multinational conglomerate software and health care companies to multi-division manufacturing corporations. As site coordinator, she managed over 300 developers in code integration, compliance, and product testing. Lisa was a white paper co-author on hybrid logical components in PLM software in addition to implementing multiple patent projects. After engineering, Lisa turned to managing small businesses, creating succession plans, directing accounting and participating in legal and financial discussions for selling a small business with over $100 million in revenue.

In her spare time, she enjoys building home automation (Raspberry Pi) projects, woodworking, and training for triathlons. A math enthusiast at heart, she also enjoys implementing object-oriented programming with additive models to observe and analyze financial data built upon Notre Dame’s Software Repository for Accounting and Finance.

The Optimize Financial team lovingly calls Lisa the “Renaissance Woman.” Her technical background and management experience provided a foundational framework for understanding complex systems that has served her well in assisting clients with their complex financial planning needs. Lisa brings integrity, hard work and loving care to everything she does. She also has two Pomeranians named Gemma and Gimli whom she adores.

Sara understands how crucial administration and operations are to Optimize Financial’s ability to help clients build wealth and optimize their financial decisions. She brings a passion and creativity to her role rarely seen in the industry. She relentlessly pursues excellence in client service. Clients know they can count on Sara to do what she says she is going to do in the best possible manner she can do it. Her desire for excellence in all she does is contagious and permeates the culture of Optimize Financial.

Sara received her Associate of Arts Degree in Liberal Arts from Victor Valley College in 2006. She began her career as a teller at Wells Fargo that same year and was quickly promoted to banker well before she should have been considered for promotion. Shortly after becoming a banker, she took and passed the Series 66 and Series 7 licensing exams. This type of initiative is rarely seen in someone with such short tenure. At every stage of her career, leaders were impressed with her work ethic and attention to detail and elevated her rapidly. This opened the door for her to work as a Client Associate in wealth management at Wells Fargo Advisors Private Client Group (WFA PCG). She was assigned to support an advisor named Casey Witters and the rest is history. Sara was an integral part of the amazing and rapid growth Casey experienced as a financial advisor. Together they set out to do things differently in wealth management and they developed an unwavering, growth-minded process that produced freedom, clarity and confidence in their clients.

Sara has touched almost every aspect of client service in banking and wealth management; her wealth of knowledge and experience has turned her into a phenomenal problem solver. Sara was nominated and placed on the National Client Associate Advisory Council in addition to being named the Point of Contact leader for all assistants at her WFA PCG branch. She is a natural leader!

Sara married her high school sweetheart Erick and they have two beautiful daughters Reagan and Jade. She loves spending time with her family and friends. Her favorite place to be is at the beach especially Laguna Beach. She also loves to watch her daughters play soccer and thoroughly enjoys family game night playing monopoly or other board games.
